Overview[]

Benedict recently creeped into the city of Kingsmouth by way of Boston. A formerly staunch follower of the Westminster Creed, he formally accepted the Monachal Creed on behalf of the Syndic Inquisition of the 1960s. Nonetheless, he maintains a more ecumenical approach to Longinian ministry than your run of the mill Monachal might. He has recently begun to lead efforts in organizing and strengthening the Sanctified presence in Kingsmouth. Additionally, he has made open overtures of alliance and friendship to the First Estate.

Personality[]

Benedict is very much a creep, in the outward sense. One of the more "classic" flavors of intensely ugly and horrifying, he seems to relish in his hideous appearance, and the effect it has on other Kindred. He is a very old-style Sanctified, referring to vampires as "the Damned", eschewing the newer term "Kindred". The horror of his appearance is matched only, perhaps, by his immense zeal for "The God of Abraham and Isaac", "the Lord's holy purpose for the Damned", and other such things. He does very little to disguise his disdain for non-Longinians, in particular the Ordo Dracul and the Circle of the Crone.

Rumor has it...[]

  • Turns out His Grace takes the Caldarium baths completely nekkid -- and he's pretty hot.
    • Hot as in the water started boiling? Can't be a good sign.
  • He has barely entered the city, and he already owes Sam Richardson a Major Boon?
  • He spent the first one hundred years of his unlife as a particularly trigger-happy Crusader, and has likely slain or torpored scores of Acolytes in his career. He is not well-loved by them. At all.
    • He's actually quite capable of even-handed compassion when it suits his purposes, or so I've been told.
  • He was the lover of a Child of Judas early in his unlife, and his religious zeal is just a mask for a state of gibbering emotional wreckage.
  • The new bishop just snapped his fingers and the covenant fell into line like well trained soldiers.  Does he have some kind of power over the Sanctified?
